Our Services

Include but are not limited to:

Compliance:

Support farms and agro-processors to comply with the required standards (both voluntary and mandatory), regulations and code of practices to ensure access to both local and international markets. We support national standards such as KS1758 which is a code of practice for the horticulture sector and international standards such as Global-GAP, BRC, FSSC 22000.

Sanitary and Phytosanitary measures:

In addition to satisfying quality and environmental requirements, governments also demand that imported food and agricultural products meet sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) regulations set to ensure that such imports do not introduce unacceptable food safety, animal health and plant health risks in their territory. AgriSafe Quest supports governments to develop and enforce SPS regulations in harmony with relevant international standards on food safety, animal health and plant health. For the private sector, we focus on developing and implementing systems that support the production of goods and services that comply with these standards.

Data Collection, Analysis and research:

We conduct baseline survey on the status of a subject before any type of intervention is implemented. We offer advice based on the results of the best intervention and control locations for the project. We specialize in collection of primary data, measuring and analysing accurate insights for research using standard validated techniques. We work with the client to develop data collection tools which will fit their objective. We use digital tools to collect data which reduces the cost on data entry and increased the quality of the data collected. We organize all the field logistics required for successful data collection. We work with the client to determine the sample population and sampling protocol for the population. We have a team of experienced enumerators who have been involved in household data collection. In addition to data collection and analysis, we also conduct specialised and targeted research on behalf of our clients on food systems and produce a final analysis of key findings

Capacity building:

We task ourselves in developing and strengthening the skills, instincts, abilities, processes and resources that government officials and organizations/firms need to survive, adapt, and thrive in this fast-changing world. We especially offer capacity building on food systems including

• Food Safety Management Systems
• Quality Management Systems
• Good Agricultural Practice
• Environmental Management
• Development of Quality Manuals

Agriculture and sustainable livelihoods:

We support smallholder farmers by conducting a study that seeks to identify the current and relevant agricultural practices responsible for promoting sustainable rural livelihoods and to explore how these practices have impacted a specific community’s livelihood assets, means, and outcomes.
To support agricultural production we develop production and food safety protocols and manuals to ensure compliance to plant health, animal health and food safety measures.

Value chain Analysis:

We undertake value chain analysis to help understand the environment through which the different value chains operate. In addition, we identify the actors and analyse their strengths and weakness. We also undertake stakeholder/institutional mapping, analysis and restructuring and policy analysis and evaluation. We offer innovative solutions to help improve the value chain. In addition, we offer market linkages for actors along the value chain to help increase income for the actors.
